Regional administration to get TV channel
The Arkhangelsk regional administration will open its own TV and radio channel. About 300 million RUB will be invested in the channel, which is to become the governor’s main voice in the region.
The new channel is part of a federal programme on the development of media channels in the federal subjects. According to the programme, all the regional administrations in country will have their own media channels by year 2015. From before, the Pomorie channel, which is part of the state GTRK channel, is broadcasting in Arkhangelsk Oblast.
