Russia runs out of work force in North
There is a 20 percent lack of workers in the Russian North, Head of Federation Councils Committee on the North, says.
-The number of vacant positions now exceeds the number of unemployed in seven northern regions, Mr. Gennady Oleynik says. He believed the number of working-age people by 2015 will decrease with another 12 percent, Rosbaltnord.ru reports. Mr. Oleynik stresses that measures now must be taken to attract more people to northern regions.
