Eight foreign ministers to Finnish Lapland
Finland’s Foreign Minister Alexander Stubb will host several European colleagues at an informal meeting in Saariselkä, Finnish Lapland on 12–14 March.
The seminar in Lapland is organized at the invitation of Foreign Minister Stubb a press release from the Finnish Government reads.
The informal seminar will be attended by EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton and by the Foreign Ministers of Estonia, France, Italy, Spain, Sweden and Turkey.
The main topics for the discussions during the weekend will be strengthening of the role of the European Union in world politics and the EU neighborhood policy.
The seminar participants wil be bringing their families to Saariselkä, which is a popular ski and spa resort in Finnish Lapland.
