Free economic zone for Teriberka
The Shtokman-hub of Teriberka on the Barents Sea coast will get status as free economic zone, regional governor Dmitriyenko says.
Speaking to the regional Duma on Thursday, Dmitry Dmitriyenko confirmed that regional authorities will apply for the establishment of a special economic industrial zone in Teriberka. The application will be submitted to federal authorities as soon as the proposal has been harmonized with the project partners, the governor added in his speech to the legislators.
The fishing village of Teriberka, located about 100 km northeast of Murmansk city, will have the lion’s share of infrastructure connected with the Shtokman gas project.

As previously reported, regional authorities have from before got approval for the establishment of a special port zone in the Kola Bay. According to Dmitriyenko, fifteen companies are ready to join the project and 150 billion RUB is expected to be invested.
