Murmansk plant built module for Norwegian shelf
The Murmansk branch of Norwegian engineering company Reinertsen has built an underwater module for StatoilHydro’s “Sigrid” project in the Norwegian Sea. The construction is a milestone in our cooperation with Murmansk Oblast, StatoilHydro says.
The Norwegian energy company believes the construction of the underwater module is a major step towards enhanced industrial cooperation in the Norwegian-Russian High North. -This is an important step in our common work for a stronger supply industry for oil and gas projects in Northwest Russia, StatoilHydro’s Bengt Lie Hansen says in a press release. –We are exchanging opportunities and responsibilities in our joint waters in the north, he adds. The unit built at the Reinertsen plant in Murmansk is delivered by FMC Technologies. It will be used in a satellite well to the Asgard project in the Norwegian Sea. -Only two-three years ago, we could not imagine that an underwater module which meets all European standards, can be built in Murmansk Oblast, Murmansk Governor Yuri Yevdokimov says, MBnews.ru reports. –We thank our foreign partners for their belief in us and their support in this project, he adds.
